Utility template
Second box in a split shipment
Meta category: Utility
Utility templates confirm or update something the person already asked for: an order, a booking, an appointment, or a payment they owe on an existing invoice. A discount, a new product, or a 'while you are here' line moves the template into marketing.
It explains that one order is shipping as two parcels and gives the status of the remaining items. No new product is being sold.

When to use it
Use this when you actually split the order, not when one item is delayed and you are still hoping to pack them together. The date in {{5}} should be a date you can meet.
If the second item is cancelled rather than delayed, do not use this template. Say it is cancelled and whether a refund is on the way. That is a different fact.
Tips for getting it approved
- Name items, not 'some products' and 'other products'. The samples should show that.
- Do not suggest a replacement product for the delayed item.
- One order id is enough. A second tracking number can live on the order page behind the button.
Frequently asked questions
Can I list three parcels?
Not cleanly in this text. If three-way splits are common, add variables or write a second template. Do not stuff a list into {{3}}.
Does the customer get charged twice for shipping?
Do not answer that inside this template unless your policy is always the same. Put the policy on the order page the button opens.
