Utility template
Vaccination due
Meta category: Utility
Utility templates confirm or update something the person already asked for: an order, a booking, an appointment, or a payment they owe on an existing invoice. A discount, a new product, or a 'while you are here' line moves the template into marketing.
A due date on a vaccine schedule the patient or parent already enrolled in is a reminder of that plan. It stays utility if you do not sell an unrelated package.

When to use it
Send it to the parent or patient who enrolled in the schedule, about a week before the due window. {{2}} can name the dose if your clinical team is comfortable seeing that label on a phone preview. This sample stays generic on purpose. Put the vaccine name on the booking page if the lock screen is a concern.
Do not use this for a vaccine the person never discussed. An unsolicited campaign for a new shot is marketing, and it needs a different template and a different opt-in.
Tips for getting it approved
- Do not add prices, combo packages, or fear-based lines.
- The sample should not include a diagnosis.
- The booking link must be for that schedule, not a general health camp.
Frequently asked questions
Should the vaccine name be in the SMS-style preview?
Your clinical lead should decide. If the name is sensitive in your setting, keep it on the logged-in page and use a generic dose label in {{2}}, as the sample does.
Can I remind them if they missed the window?
Yes, with a different sentence that says the window was missed and asks them to book. Do not send 'due around the week of 20 Oct' after that week has passed.
