Marketing templates promote, recommend, or try to bring someone back. Meta bills them as marketing messages. The person needs a valid opt-in, and the copy cannot be dressed up as a shipping or payment update.
A back-in-stock note asks someone to buy again. Wishlists are not orders. Submit this as marketing, with opt-in from the waitlist form.

When to use it
Send it to people who tapped 'notify me' on that SKU, not to everyone who ever bought from the store. The opt-in is for this item. Fill {{4}} with the size or variant they asked for, or do not send.
Say that waitlist order matters if you really honour it. If stock is first-come on the product page, delete that sentence before you submit, or the template over-promises.
Tips for getting it approved
- The sample URL should be a product page, not a homepage banner.
- Do not add a discount for waiting. Restock is the news. A discount makes a different offer.
- The removal button should map to that SKU's waitlist, not a global block on all future messages, unless your copy says so.
Frequently asked questions
Is a waitlist alert utility?
Not under Meta's current rules. There is no completed purchase. The message exists to sell the item, so it is marketing.
What if several sizes come back on the same day?
Send one message per person, for the variant they joined. A single blast that says 'several sizes are back' forces them to hunt, and it wastes the variable you already have for size.
