Marketing template
Cart reminder after one hour
Meta category: Marketing
Marketing templates promote, recommend, or try to bring someone back. Meta bills them as marketing messages. The person needs a valid opt-in, and the copy cannot be dressed up as a shipping or payment update.
The shopper has not bought anything yet. Asking them to finish checkout is a promotion, even though the product is one they chose. Submit it as marketing.

No thanks

When to use it
Send this about an hour after the cart is abandoned, and only to a number that opted in to offers on the site or at checkout. One message is enough. A second nudge the same evening should be a different template, not a duplicate of this one.
The hold time in {{4}} has to be real. If the warehouse does not reserve stock, say the item is still in the cart instead of promising it is held. The quick reply lets someone opt out of this nudge without blocking later order updates.
Tips for getting it approved
- Sample values should name a real-looking product and a clock time, not the words 'product name' and 'time'.
- Do not add a percentage discount in the body unless the button URL lands on that exact offer.
- Keep the 'No thanks' button. Reviewers treat a cart reminder with only a buy button as a hard sell.
Frequently asked questions
Can I send this as a utility template because they added the item themselves?
No. Until they place the order, a reminder to purchase is marketing. Utility starts after the order exists, for example a payment confirmation or a shipping update.
How many variables should a cart reminder use?
Four is enough: name, item, store, and the time you will stop holding it. Extra variables for coupon codes and celebrity names make the template look like a blast, not a personal reminder.
