Marketing template

Diwali sale, last evening

Meta category: Marketing

Marketing templates promote, recommend, or try to bring someone back. Meta bills them as marketing messages. The person needs a valid opt-in, and the copy cannot be dressed up as a shipping or payment update.

A dated discount code is a promotion. It is marketing, and the end time has to be real.

Template body

Hi {{1}}, the {{2}} Diwali code {{3}} is {{4}} off and ends tonight at the time on the site. It will not be extended in this message.

Sample values

Submit these as the examples Meta reviews. Replace them with your own customer data only at send time.

When to use it

Send it on the last evening, to people who opted in and who did not already buy from the preview. The code in {{3}} and the percent in {{4}} must match the banner on the URL. If you extend the sale, do not send this template again with the same 'ends tonight' line.

One send. A second 'last chance' an hour later is how festive lists get reported. The quick reply should suppress the rest of this year's festival sequence.

Tips for getting it approved

  • Put the real code in the sample. 'CODE' is not a sample.
  • Do not say the sale ends tonight if the website says it ends Sunday.
  • Avoid stacking a second offer, such as free shipping plus a percent, unless both are on the landing page.

Frequently asked questions

Can I reuse this template for Holi?

No. The body says Diwali. Submit a Holi template if you need one. Reviewers and customers both notice a festival that does not match the date.

What if the code is single-use?

Then {{3}} must be generated per recipient and the landing page must accept that code. A sample can still show one example code.
