Meta category: Utility

Utility templates confirm or update something the person already asked for: an order, a booking, an appointment, or a payment they owe on an existing invoice. A discount, a new product, or a 'while you are here' line moves the template into marketing.

You are telling an enrolled learner that a result they sat is ready. You are not putting the score in the chat, and you are not selling the next course.

When to use it

Send it when the result is actually visible after login, not when the teachers are still moderating. {{3}} is an id, not the score. Parents comparing marks in a family group is a reason to keep numbers off WhatsApp.

If the login is down, wait. A result message that 404s gets more replies than the paper did. Do not add a 'enrol in the revision batch' line under the result.

Tips for getting it approved

  • The body should explicitly keep marks off the channel, as this one does.
  • No rank claims and no 'you did great' — you do not know, and it does not belong in a template.
  • The sample URL should require a login in real use. The sample itself can be a path.

Frequently asked questions

Why not include the score?

WhatsApp is easy to forward. A login keeps the mark with the learner. It also stops a wrong mail-merge from sending one student's score to another.

Can the next course offer go in the same template?

No. Send the result as utility. If you market a revision batch, that is a separate marketing template to people who opted in.
