Utility template
Reminder 24 hours before
Meta category: Utility
Utility templates confirm or update something the person already asked for: an order, a booking, an appointment, or a payment they owe on an existing invoice. A discount, a new product, or a 'while you are here' line moves the template into marketing.
The person already booked this time. The message only restates the appointment and how to change it. There is no offer, so it is utility.

When to use it
Send this the afternoon before, from the booking record, to the number that made the appointment. Include the outlet name in {{2}} when you have more than one location. A reminder that only says 'see you tomorrow' creates a phone call.
The reschedule button should open that booking, not a page of other services. If they confirm with the quick reply, suppress the same-morning template so they are not nudged twice.
Tips for getting it approved
- Samples need a real-looking place, date, and clock time. 'Clinic' and 'time' get sent back.
- Do not add a product, a package price, or a festival greeting to the body.
- The URL sample must resolve to a booking page, not the homepage.
Frequently asked questions
Is a reminder marketing if I mention a paid service?
Naming the service they already booked is fine. Adding a second service, a discount, or a 'book your next visit' line moves the template to marketing.
How early should this go out?
About 24 hours is the useful window for salons, clinics, and consults. Earlier than that, people forget. Later, they have already left for the appointment.
